I downloaded AVG last night, but it won't run because I have McAfee.
Can I uninstall McAfee?

I'm not really in a hiring mood, as I recently became unemployed. Just
the absolute necessities. I'm pretty sure I can install memory if I
can find instructions. And uninstall too, as long as I remain patient.

No, my Windows firewall was off (viz a recommendation from my previous
employers IT folk). I turned it back on to the default settings.

I don't think my router has a built-in firewall because my internet cx
says its unprotected. I am concerned about that; the router is over 5
yo, so maybe I should invest in a newer one.

Thank you again.
