Gene,
I agree. I definitely notice a difference when I shampoo a second
time. The first time doesn't seem to do the job well enough unless I use
a significantly larger amount of shampoo. This comes from experience of
years ago as well as recommendations from my mother, a retired
hairdresser, who told me that I needed to shampoo twice because I have
oily hair. I use a smaller amount of shampoo each time, but I do shampoo
twice.

We recently moved to an area where the water is hard
enough that I could carbonate it and give Calistoga a
run for its money. "Repeat" actually makes a difference
here, though it's really more like "divide" (same amount
spread over two cycles).
