I don't have the information at my finger tips, someone else may -

There is the infamous story about the shuttle that crashed (or something
related to it)...if I recall correctly, the error was traced to
incorrect instructions regarding the ceramic tiles and the glue that was
to be used.

I wish I remembered the details, but perhaps this will twigg someone
elses memory...

I am helping with a presentation on the value of technical
communication. What are your favorite anecdotes about the bottom-line
value added by having techcommers on a project (cost, revenue, time),
or conversely the value lost by NOT having them?
