Feel free if you like. If I thought it was really necessary to
constantly train and retrain my management and coworkers
to understand why they should value having someone like
me working there, I would be questioning why I was working
there.
The need to demonstrate to others why we as individuals
are more valuable to them than others who do what we do
is certainly a default need in any work situation, but why
would anyone choose to join a profession where the value
of the profession itself is in question?
