This raises a question I've had for a long time. I use Word as an HTML
editor. When I look at the code that Word generates, it always seems to
contain tons of extra code. In many cases, I know the same result could
be achieved with less code.

Question: Why does Word do this?

Just curious.... Presumably there is some reason why Word does this.
Then again, maybe not...
