That was a little harsh.

The article is fine. It just doesn't -- and never pretends to -- do a
deep analysis of why 12% of the STC membership votes, why 12% of a
chapter's membership show up at meetings, and whether the STC should be
moving to podcasts and online meetings, whether they are, whether they
are not, or whether they should not.

By shallow and lacking, I mean the article made some statements that I
don't see supported, and rather than slam the article as I am sorry to
have done, I would be interested in seeing supporting evidence for those
claims, because the subject interests me.

That is, since so much communication and content on the Internet is
free, should the STC really go that route? Can it? Is the grassroots
local-chapter model broken, or under-supported? Are people not voting
because they really don't care about the leadership, or are they not
voting for other reasons.

Etc.

I apologize for my terse reply and judgment earlier.

Cheers.

Replied x2.

I found the article shallow and lacking. YMMV.

Cheers.
