Hi Joyce

I'm assuming you meant the sentence that reads:

"You'll be lucky if you can get him to work for you."

One way to interpret it is that the person is just soooo good, you will 
be lucky if they bless you with their presence. The other way is that 
the person is sooo lazy that you will be lucky if they do what you hired 
them to do.
