Googling "excel file associations" gets quite a few hits going back
several years. Two suggestions are available at
http://tinyurl.com/2pxqhn (Microsoft Community site...first suggestion
is to clear "ignore other applications" check box in Excel. Second
suggestion is to reset the registry to the defaults (using Start >
Run).) Click the link for more information.
