Hey All,

I am trying to gather statistics about alternate career paths for technical
writers.

I understand that a technical writer does many tasks as part of his/her job,
but I am specifically researching technical writers who now spend most of
their billable time doing something other than "technical writing"
(usability testing, business analysis, etc.)

I'll be presenting the results at the January Silicon Valley STC meeting,
but if you'd like I can post the results to the list once they are compiled.

Please take please the short (five question) survey at
http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB2279F2GXNHW

Questions? Call or email me off-list.

Thanks in advance, and Happy Holidays!

Jack

P.S. If you HAVEN'T transitioned out of technical writing, please take the
survey anyway so I can compile baseline data? Answer "No" to the first
question, "Technical Writing" to the second, and then the rest of the
questions as presented.
