I'm a writer/editor who's interested in transitioning into technical writing. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in journalism. I've been working as a writer/editor for about a decade in higher education, nothing very technical at all. In other words, I have the writing chops, but my technical skills are a little soft. I'm considering undertaking an online certificate program.
A sound investment? A waste of money? Pros and cons? Unfortunately, going back for a second master's degree just isn't doable for me.
