Right, and what company or employees do you know of
that set their offered/required salary ranges on the basis
of statewide averages?
Without some method of extracting or extrapolating
local information, this is pointless information. If
you can use a web browser you can get better data
filtering from the BLS website in less than a minute.
I still think the numbers don't reflect hiring reality,
but at least I can grumble about wrong data for my
metro area rather than the entire state.
