This is precicely why I was surprised that we now have a paid-for
salary database model above and beyond the free offering. Given that
the STC is not a known credible source for technical
communication-related salary information, I would think that even that
paid-for offering is still just a "nice to have" and not anything that
carries any significant weight with HR and other hiring organizations
and personnel.
What is the STC doing to correct this perception, or will the
perception remain and the STC position the new paid-for model as a
nice-to-have offering that provides more inconclusive information
about techcomm salaries than the free inconclusive offering?
