Zen,

Since you're apparently new to Word, use the default headings and modify the
attributes as desired. Heading numbering is something you may want to fool
with a little down the road.

I'd advise you to save your doc as a template and save your modifications to
it. Avoid modifying your Normal.dot (if that's still there post XP).

Use Help. It's there for a purpose. I've learned most of what I know from
Word Help and www.mvps.org .
