Tech writers who write journalistic pieces and features don't seem to be
much of a threat to us, even if they refer to themselves as tech
writers. I will leave room for considerations of the problem in your
local market, but I haven't heard of it here in the NW tech scene, or
nationally. I don't think it warrants a new job title and all of the
attendant crap we'd go thru in explaining what it is that <new job
title> does.

I've noticed that you admire John Dvorak's work. I seem to remember
reading some of his column filler in PC World a lifetime or two ago.
What is he doing now that you find so inspiring?
