We're SaaS. The only difference for documentation is that we have PDF
manuals for download instead of shipping tree-type books to customers
with the software. The best thing about this arrangement is that you can
update fairly painlessly every time you have an update.

Happy Fifth, List ~

Anybody have experience transitioning a doc set for a product from a
conventional, customer-owned application delivery model to a SaaS model?

We're about to do this and I'm just starting to research. All that's
clear to me right now is that our fabulously detailed installation
documentation will be obsolete, and in exchange we might get an
opportunity to use some groovy multi-media options.

Issues, gotchas, best practices, resources? Dumb question? If so, please
to tell why.

Thanks,
Kimberly McClintock
