Beware of the Drama Triangle: There are three roles in every drama, and they rotate without mercy.

I have seen the truth of this time after time in office situations. The only escape is to learn to recognize dramas as they unfold and refuse to be sucked in to any drama. This can be done through courageous communication to dissolve the drama, or by running away (or regretfully and professionally and maturely removing oneself from the situation).
