Hi Kevin,

Yeah, I kind of guessed you weren't speaking from personal experience.
So, for about the hundredth time on TECHWR-L:

Q: "How do I create stable numbering in Word?"
A: "Use ListNum, AutoNum, or SEQ fields. They're easy to learn, they're
easy to use, and they don't break."

Casual Word users aren't familiar with these features, but they've been
around for years.

Same goes for the other Word features that are needed to create large,
complex documents.

Happy Tuesday,

Dan
