Not necessarily, but it would do a couple of things:
1. Quickly put a lot of these outfits out of business. If the program
came with every PC, then say goodbye to a lot of newer vendors.
2. Provide a platform that you know will always be there. Sort of like
Frame, Word is always around. Who knows if AuthorIT or whatever will be
here ten years from now?
