I'm sitting here visioning me trying to convince my boss to invest in cologne for our plant floor work instructions.  He might go for it if there is any hope that it might encourage people to read the ^(&&*(%^^ things.

We tried assembling excellent "dossier" binders.  Labor-intensive with pages inserted into plastic protector sheets individually, but things of beauty nevertheless.  There was no management follow-up or enforcement and they quickly turned into shelfware.

Now we're seriously considering laminating instructions and hanging them on the wall at eye level.

Methinks we are not quite at the level of user satisfaction surveys.  First goal is simply use!

I'm doing a mailing next month for my not-for-profit (a community farm) to open the season with strawberries (festival on June 9 in upstate New York, what idiots schedule these things -- no strawberries around here until July 4th).  An olfactory strawberry boost on the postcards might be very effective, thanks for the tip!
