There are some advantages to the Texas system, as
well, but I agree that sometimes it's scary. It seems
to me that business etiquette trumps all other
concerns. If 78% of people won't shop at an online
retailer that has compromised their information, my
guess is that a certain amount of others won't bother
with a known abusive employer.
