Well, the point is that I DO know what Word will do next, and so far  
I haven't a clue how to turn an XML file into a document using  
DocBook. And hiring a consultant? Not Gonna Happen.

Thanks for the rec, though. If we ever get a budget, I'll think about  
hiring a consultant to teach this stuff to me.
