Thanks for the answer, Lauren.

Nope, I'm afraid this is not what I am required. I've tried to justify a solution like that without success,. The search engine must work, I don't know if this is possible or not, from the CD: no installation at all and cross-platform compatibility.

Any idea? Thanks!

Can't you just build a web interface for it and put a search engine, like
Google that lets you limit the search to the specific site, in the web
interface?
