Subject:Does InDesign change image format like Word does? From:"Jennifer C. Bennett" <fritillary -at- gmail -dot- com> To:<techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Thu, 8 Mar 2007 15:15:40 -0600
I've had issues when copying an image from Word to be used elsewhere - the
colors become ghastly. So I have a couple image questions.
When I make a screen capture with Snag It 8, and then "select all" and copy
the image, (image is not saved yet, it's just in the clipboard) and then
"Paste" it into inDesign, what format is that image in at that point?
What format is that image in when it is in the Clipboard (before pasting
into Indesign.)
Also, if you have had experience using InDesign CS2 creating user manuals,
what are the pros and cons of using InDesign as opposed to Word?
(I own both InDesign and Word, and I'm interested in creating better page
layouts for the documents I write. word has begun to frustrate me.)
I want to eventually move more into graphic design, hence my interest in
getting away from Word, and being able to improve the look of my documents.
