Certainly I remember WordStar! I used it at my first tech writing job ever, and liked it fine.

However, WS came out with an upgrade -- was it called WordStar 2000? My boss got an evaluation copy, we loaded it, and attempted to open a file.

As my boss said in his letter (snailmail!) to the WordStar people, "After 18 minutes had gone by and the file was still not open, I made the decision to move to XYWrite."

RIP WordStar!
