That's kind of an amusing observation. All the "what you're cut out for"
career compatibility aptitude test type things I've taken point to teaching
as a profession for me. But I don't think I'd actually enjoy teaching,
because I lived through high school once, and once was enough. (Every time I
think about going back for a Master's in Education, I talk to a couple of ex
foreign language teachers I know, and get reminded why it's not a good idea.)

Maybe writing is my way to teach without having to put up with all the bad
stuff. If you're reading me, chances are you want to be, or you're at least
getting paid, so the people who just want to be total jerks aren't usually
part of the equation.
