I don't know. It is alarming to me, however, in that
it seems societies which devalue linguistic
intelligence become disorganized places.
Interesting about the mathematics and science
curriculum. Like English, much of how effective it is
depends upon the teaching method. Sometimes I wish
more of the skills I take for granted in technical
writing were applied to high school textbooks.
