Yes, but if number of hits is your only criterion for the usefulness of
a search engine, Google actually loses: If you try to scroll through
Google's "18,000" hits, you'll see that there are really only 603.
Ask.com says "1,980" but produces only 193 (of which 20% or so are
sponsored "find this person" links). Yahoo stops at 1000, its maximum
for any search.
