Su-Lyn:

I don't think I've ever seen a range of printing dates like that. Your boss may be thinking of copyright notices, which often do show a range, e.g.:

Copyright (c) 2006-2007 XXXX, Inc.
All Rights Reserved

Reprinted books sometimes indicate the first-edition printing date with a little note. You could do the same:

Published by XXXX, Inc.
January 2007
Printed in the United States of America

First printing, October 2006
