Yes.

width: [measurement in pixels, percentage or em];

So you can limit the width of the DIV that contains the text. There is also
a max-width element but I'm not 100% sure if that is properly supported (or
is that min-width?).

With either percentage or em measurements you can achieve a semi-fluid
layout - much as I hate to, I'll bung in my blog as an example -
gordonmclean.co.uk - change the browser window width and the width of the
columns change. The ENTIRE CSS for the layout is 11 lines in a text file (a
LOT more for style though)

Is there a way to limit the width of a text column in CSS? In a table
layout, I can prevent text from swelling to an unreadable line length as the
browser window grows in width--something I consider a vital usability factor
for people who are not visually impaired and are therefore reading the
screen with their own eyes rather than a screen reader. Can I do the same
thing in CSS? If so, what's the magic keyword I need to look up?
