Not all contract negotiations have to be confrontational. And, although a
employee should always be on his/her toes when signing a contract, bailing
out is always a last resort.
Anne is right on target when she referred to items in a contract that an
employer was not aware of.
In my current contract, compensation is usually held 60 days in arrears.
Yup, 60 days (corp-to-corp). When I read this I swear I could hear my
creditors cackling in the distance:^)
When I asked the agency about this I got the same answer that Anne did:
"Oh, I don't know why that's still in there." So he removed it.
