Good point, but I think in this case Microsoft also
has a good point. Why say "Click the Landscape radio
button" (in the Page Setup dialog box) when "Click
Landscape" would work just as well?
We try to avoid referring to the type of element
when the GUI is clear so we would just say "Select
Landscape" (or add more detail about the selection:
"Select Landscape as the page orientation"). Unless
potential confusion exists due to multiple GUI
elements with the same name, we try to emphasize
the result rather than the interface.
