Dear All,

We are being asked to do more frequent refreshes to our core product
documentation by including information found in our forums and knowledge
base. These sources are both open to customers. In looking at the idea,
we are concerned about possibly using 3rd party software proprietary
information. We're all aware of trademarks, patents, and copyrights but
as writers do not control what appears in the knowledge base, we have no
way of knowing if we are looking at proprietary information unless it's
our own company's proprietary information.

Have any of you faced the same situation? Do you have guidelines that
your writers use to determine what is 3rd party software proprietary
information?

Thanks,

Eliot
