Fortunately I have never had quite that experience in an interview
(I say "fortunately," because the one time in my life that someone
approached me in that manner I was 22 and my immediate reflex
reaction was to pick up a barstool and prepare to swing it at his
head). The closest I've had was an interview where the interviewers
started throwing questions at me that had absolutely nothing to do
with the position, or for that matter with their product's technology.
It was as if I had walked into the wrong building and was taking
somebody else's interview. All attempts to move the conversation
back on topic were futile. I did the best I could, then went home
and wrote them a note that said thanks for the time but I had
decided to pursue other opportunities that were a better match
for my goals and experience. I really don't have the time or the
inclination to "play games" that I'm not having fun at.
