The capitalization of 'web' seems to be a matter of some contention:

I'm agin' it. Arguments 'for'?

World Wide Web is a proper noun. There's only one. It takes a cap. However, you are welcome to refer to other webs, both literal and metaphoric, with a lowercase w. You might belong to one or more social webs, for example, and those social webs might be mediated by a Web site (MySpace, for example). Or they might exist in real life, in the context of networking with your friends.

By the same token, there can be all sorts of internetworking arrangements (interface protocols that allow members of one network to converse with those of another, the simultaneous translation facility of the UN General Assembly chamber being one example). But there is only one Internet, and it gets capped, too.

Now it's entirely possible that your corporate intranet--or your customers' corporate intranets--use the same protocols as the World Wide Web but are disconnected from it. In that case, the might be said to be housed on web servers and use web technology (both lowercased), although I think that's splitting hairs.
