The use of the word "appear" takes on an entirely
new life when you put it this way. Now if I can only get the image of David
Copperfield as a tech writer out of my head:

You omitted to add:
4. In one out of every 48 tries, it then disappears, taking your
unsaved work with it....

Funny? Not to those of us who've had to re-do work we lost due to
Windows crashes :-/
