Sorry, Dan....Huh?

Are you are talking about the music that Mike and I were discussing?
(Which is admittedly off topic, sorry.) I have a license to use it
through the Harry Fox Agency, or BMI, or ASCAP, whichever song licensing
agency it was, because I am recording on CD right now. I have a license,
that is, if the song is not in the common domain. (Some music is not
under copyright, because it is considered "traditional" and is in the
common domain.)

Is that what you were referring to? Please don't worry :-)

Just so you know, as a musician who is recording other's work ("covers")
I am required by law to pay for a license to record or play the music,
and I do have them for everything that requires one. I did not violate
anyone's copyright, nor would *ever* do that.

I think part of the conversation with Mike was posted to the list by
mistake anyway--we were having an off-topic conversation.

To the list: Sorry for the OT post. Just wanted to make sure everyone
understood that I was not posting copyrighted material on my Web site,
or advocating that it be done, or that I approved of, or engaged in,
using copyrighted material without permission. And I don't want it to be
said that I did either.
