Some years ago, I had an office and I was in on Sat getting caught up
on some writing. I was playing a CD of 20 of James Brown's biggest
hits through my headphones. It didn't dawn on me why three different
people backtracked when they passed my door and stareed at me, until
I realized that I WAS "saying it loud"...and I'm not black (though I
am proud).
