For all of you folks with great long-term memory of the most minute
details,

Didja ever notice that the second verse (or whatever it's called) of the
Olympic theme has the same or about the same tune as the "Clean Up" song
on the old Barney show?

I caught that gem when the Olympics were here in Atlanta in 1996 and one
of the radio stations played the Olympic theme as the intro for an
update on the games; sometimes they got past the usual, very familiar
first part of the song, and got into the second part. The tempo is a
little different, but so what?

OK, everybody! "Clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere. Clean up,
clean up . . . Here come the runners" No, that can't be right. <grin>

When I was working at AT&T, I had my own office. One day someone knocked
on the open door and said, "I don't know if you realize this, but you're
singing the Barney song. I wouldn't have said anything, but you've been
singing it for like 20 minutes." God, how embarassing!

In my last job my cubicle was next to a guy's who had this habit of
whistling tunelessly while he worked, just two long notes alternating
with each other. Talk about wanting to smack somebody!

Anne
