Oh, good! I started typing a reply yesterday evening, with URLs and
all, and broke down at the config-file stage :-( and decided to save a
draft and look at it today. I didn't see what you've quoted below -
but since you've expressed a mild aversion to command-line anyway, I
really hope the GUI version will do the trick for you! :-) Lets me
chicken out and discard the draft...

Isn't there anyone else on the list who's used Tidy? Any tips?

Regards,
Ed.

AHA!

I found the following on an ancillary page with the Tidy installer:

GUI Versions

If you aren't comfortable with the command line you can try out HTMLTrim
or TidyUI. If you want a full web IDE tsWebEditor and TopStyle Pro both
have Tidy integrated in them.

I have used TopStyle Pro in the past for my cascading style sheets
(can't recommend it highly enough), so I will go and grab a copy of that
and try it.
