Hi Suzanne

If you have access to X5, first compile a .CHM file. This ensures your .HHP file is up to date. Then open 2002 and open the project using the .HHP file. You do lose a few settings here and there, but largely the project survives.

Cheers... Rick :)

Subject: RoboHelp 2002 vs. X5

I have inherited a project from another division of my company that was
created in RoboHelp X5, but my site is still on version 2002 release 2.

I know that when moving from older versions of RoboHelp to X5, the .mpj
project file is converted to .xpj. What I don't know is if it is possible to
work with this project in RH 2002 or do I need to upgrade? Is there a method
to convert the xpj project file to an mpj product file?
