The lingering effects of a twisted ankle would probably slow
down my ability to run to a phone for quite some time...

You didn't by any chance happen to mention to your manager
how you injured yourself on the job, did you?

Our CEO will often answer the phone before the developers do. :) Someone
asked me if the non-abliging developers were male...interestly enough the
male ones will answer it before the females...and the two that let me twist
my ankle...were women. One said she vowed to never answer a phone at work
again..unless of course it is for her and the receptionist called her. SIGH!
