Just a couple quick thoughts on this whole MadCap thing.
Pillorying a product or company in a forum happens quite a bit in the
gaming forums, where the average age (chronologically and
developmentally) is a lot lower than it is here. It is just as
unpopular.
Archives. In the heat of the moment we often forget that every list
message ends up in the Techwr-l archives. It has been mentioned before
how potential employers and clients might do that bit of research to see
how you represent yourself in a professional forum.
It seemed to me that we reached resolution of the original issue at the
point that Mike Hamilton of MadCap chimed in with a willingness to help.
The rest has been eminently delete-able.
