Kirk,
There are three ways to go, but make sure you've completed any edits to
the paragraph first.
1. replace all of the spaces between the words on the errant line with non-breaking spaces (ctrl+space). Hard spaces will hold the words together so that the line doesn't justify.
2. After the last word on the line above, insert a soft return/new line character (shift+return). Soft returns don't affect justification. At the end of the errant line, insert a tab and then a soft return. The tab will hold all of the characters on the line to the left, preventing the line from justifying.
3. Justify the line manually - highlight one or more words, select Format > Font, click the Character Spacing tab, select Expanded (or condense) from the Spacing drop-down and select a point value. (This one adds or subtracts interword spacing, so will look best, but is time-consuming, as you need to OK after every change to assess its effectiveness).
HTH!
