I guess I would have to say I have had positive and negative dealings with recruiters. I had a negative experience the first time I dealt with the recruiter that got me my present "permanent" position, however the next time she called I listened to her spill and ended up with a job that I am very happy with, so I would say to always at least listen to them..ya never know!

A recruiter got me a six-figure job (which lasted 3 years), and a realtor
saved me $17,000 in capital gains when she let me know about an exclusion
that we were entitled to because we had twins (what an odd reason to not
have to pay capital gains on the sale of a house..."multiple births from a
single prenancy"). So, I love recruiters and realtors! :-)

A careful perusal of the archives will reveal that some WR-Lers have had
positive experiences with recruiters.
