Well, haven't checked on Maxit, but I use Antidote, an excellent French
spell checker.
It is a tool and definitely not a replacement for human language skills.
Nevertheless you can learn a lot from working with it. Antidote gives you
tons of hints why a word might not fit in a particular context (and
reminds you of things that you had once learned in school...).
And, yes, it took me a while to convince management that I had no
intention to bypass the translation department. What finally helped was a
translator supporting my software request.

Yeah. Uh... lots of red flags. From the website to the color coding to

Maybe I'm old fashioned (too young to be old fashioned in my opinion),
