Frame and SnagIt

Advance apologies if this too far into the graphics realm, but it does involve getting screen shots to look right in Frame.

Why is it that an image saved from a SnagIt video (17" wide x 12" tall) looks fine in Frame if inserted at full size and then manually downsized, but...if the image is first made the right size in Photoshop (6" wide for my doc) and then inserted into frame, it is blurry?
