I've been pretty happy with using Monster's Premium program (It got me
my current job, after all), but the near-constant calls from
recruiters wanting you to be a living Swiss Army Knife ("We need
software compliance experience, SOX documentation experience, full
lifecycle development experience, and knowing how to cook fettucini
alfredo!") can be a drag.

Still, I'd rather have recruiters calling me too much than not often enough. ;)

My question is this: Why do hiring managers have such vague
requirements when they need jobs filled? I've seen so many nonsensical
job descriptions out there that I wonder if the purpose is to drive
people *away* from applying.
