Yes, have a personal email address or two, preferably BEFORE you get
laid off and disappear from view. I have tried to look up former
colleagues at Nortel and elsewhere, but only had work email addresses.

Besides, if I'm going to sound off in listservs and newsgroups, I don't
necessarily want to be doing it using a work email address, do I?
