I was using the Format Painter today and was reminded of a tip.

If you only want to change the formatting of a *single* item, click the
sample format, click the Format Painter button, then click or wipe the
item to be changed. The Format Painter is automatically disengaged.

If you only want to change the formatting of *multiple* items to the
same format, click the sample format, *double-click* the Format Painter
button, then click or wipe the items to be changed. Click the Format
Painter button when you're ready to disengage it.
