Interesting. We now have three replies based on *totally* different
intepretations of what the problem is. Sure seems like we need a
better description of the symptoms. Maybe the third time will be
the charm?

Does "end of the column" mean the right edge of the column?
Does "end of the column" mean the bottom of a cell in a row
that is interior to the table?
Does "end of the column" mean the bottom of a cell that is in
the last row of the table?
Does "end of the column" mean the bottom of a cell that is at
a page break in a multi-page table?

Each of these is very different.

Aha! That's different.

With a cursor in the cell, look up at the tab ruler. You'll see the marker for the right margin off to the right, in the gray area, rather than in the white ruler area.

Now look at the paragraph format and you'll see that the right margin is set at a negative number (I think). You may also see a positive left margin (an indent that you use for your regular text blocks), which is probably the actual culprit. If you can't drag the marker into the tab ruler, at least you can manually change the margins to zero.

But the real solution is to set up a style, called TableCell, for example, that has zero left and right margins. Then apply that style to each cell.
